NECA 300

NECA 300
300 is a collected comic book and film that fictionally depicts the Battle of Thermopylae. This historical event saw King Leonidas of Sparta and his 300 member army guard the roadway from the invading Persians, which had an army of over 100,000 soldiers.

300 was released as a five issue comic book series from Dark Horse in 1998, and was created by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. It was the inspiration for the 2007 movie of the same name, which was directed by Zack Snyder, and starred Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, and Rodrigo Santoro. A subsequent movie entitled 300: Rise of an Empire will be released in 2014.
